The Pursuit of Dreams 'Santro to G55'

The road is rocky and arduous. The expanses are wide. Here’s the story of a traveling soldier who surmounts the challenges with his characteristic enigmatic smile – a smile that has captivated millions of ardent admirers around the world. An inspiring story that sets the tone for setting a vision, a goal and achieving it against all odds. Here’s the story of… a common man who defied odds and reached his dreams. Like the old adage says “when the going gets tough, the tough get going”…. . Yes we are talking about Mr.Pawan Kalyan better known as Power Star.
Pawan kalyan is a man of few words. And when he does utter them it’s with a precision of a thunder bolt. His thoughts, goals and aspirations belong to the same genre. It is surprising to know that this man who has seen immense success still drove a Hyundai Santro even after the phenomenal success of khushi. It took him a good ten years to bring home a World class Sports & Utility vehicle like a Mercedes G55 AMG. Quite obviously, it’s not that he lacked the money. Like Beethoven, it’s all about hitting the right note at the right time. G55′s time was yet to come. It was not realistic to own it at that juncture. But the dream of owning it never wavered. It’s about setting the right expectations and planning in a meticulous way to achieve it. Everything has a time and this is a perfect example of setting a goal and unflinchingly marching towards it with dogged determination and zeal. It’s this trait of Pawan kalyan that has endeared to his millions of loyal fans. Goals – be it be material or otherwise, can be achieved if you put your heart into them.
Today he joins the select band of chosen few personalities around the world to own such a beautiful marvel of automobile engineering – the classic Mercedes G55. A handcrafted gem of precision engineering. The best of the best. The beauty of success is glorified when you earn it. He has certainly earned it. No wonder the journey is worth a thousand lessons to all of his ardent followers. Yes, he is still wearing that trade mark smile on his face looking at the new milestone.. Many more to come…a trendsetter for sure.
An interesting addendum to the story is the way he convinced his reluctant family members to buy his favorite bike Harley Davidson. In fact he is one of the first to import one of the Harley’s from Dubai to India. Lesson learnt – if you really want it, you can get it!
Materialism was never on his agenda, but the emphasis is on the single minded devotion in achieving one’s dreams. Be it be his movies, his cars or any other interests. We can always draw a parallel to our lives here. Giving up one’s dream is the easiest thing to do. We might fumble, falter and fail. It’s about getting up and moving on.
